Jon Hamm Hosts Star-Studded Benefit for AmeriCares Sandy Relief

Stamford, Conn. – Dec. 12, 2012 – Will Ferrell, Aziz Ansari and Sarah Silverman headlined the star-studded “We Hate Hurricanes” comedy benefit for AmeriCares Hurricane Sandy relief efforts on Monday night. Actor Jon Hamm of “Mad Men” fame co-hosted the comedy show at Club Nokia in Los Angeles with Adam Scott, who stars with Ansari on “Parks and Recreation.” Comedian Chelsea Peretti and musician Beck also performed. The show raised $100,000 for AmeriCares Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Since the storm hit, AmeriCares has provided $2.2 million in aid to New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, including more than 100 deliveries of medicines and relief supplies to shelters, aid distribution centers and nonprofit organizations assisting storm victims in the hardest hit communities.
