Our Work in Country

Although Ghana has made great strides in health care, Preventable and treatable diseases such as malaria, respiratory infections and diarrhea are among the leading causes of death, particularly among the very young.

We provide a wide range of support to a network of facilities ranging from referral hospitals to community clinics and orphanages across the country.

Americares has been providing assistance to Ghana since 1991, delivering over $100 million in medicine and medical supplies to support health services for families in need.

Our Work with Partners

Most recently Americares has been working with Zipline, Women’s Health to Wealth, Ghana’s Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service to deliver urgently needed medicines, medical supplies and infection-control supplies to hard-to-reach health facilities in Ghana. Watch the Video.
