Americares staff assess a health clinic in Laurel, Batangas, damaged by Typhoon Kristine.

Americares is responding to Typhoons Man-yi and Usagi and Tropical Storm Kristine in the Philippines.  These powerful storms made landfall within a week, with heavy rains that brought widespread flooding. Mud and debris have contaminated water, leading to an increase in skin and upper respiratory infections.  Americares is mobilizing a response to provide critical support, including mobile medical units, mental health services and hygiene and clean water kits. Our team is coordinating closely with local partners to deliver aid and address urgent health needs.
