Health Crisis In 2018, Americares began operating medical clinics in Colombia, to provide essential primary care services and access to medicine for migrants fleeing the humanitarian emergency in Venezuela. With the rise of the Global COVID-19 Pandemic, the clinics have adapted their work to manage the unprecedented demands of the new crisis. As the Pandemic intensified in the region, Americares continued its efforts to provide healthcare services by focusing predominantly on pregnant women and children, while also delivering mental health services to this vulnerable population.
