For more than 25 years, AmeriCares has been delivering medicines, medical supplies and critical aid to people in need around the world and here at home. Currently, there are more than 50 million people in the U.S. unable to afford medical care due to a lack of health insurance. AmeriCares is committed to increasing access to medicines and over the last two years, has delivered over $36 million in medical assistance here at home.

AmeriCares also responds to disasters to help reduce suffering and restore health to communities throughout the country. AmeriCares has reached out to thousands of Americans affected by weather-related emergencies including Hurricane Katrina, tornadoes in the South and Midwest, Texas wildfires, and the devastating Nashville floods.

AmeriCares offers a helping hand in times of disease outbreaks and manmade disasters. On one of our nation’s darkest days, AmeriCares sent an emergency medical team to the site of the World Trade Center attacks.
