For more than 25 years, AmeriCares has been delivering medicines, medical supplies and critical aid to people in need around the world and here at home. Throughout the United States, we are responding to the growing health care crisis by supporting more than 150 clinics that serve the poor and uninsured.

Currently, there are more than 47 million people in the U.S. unable to afford medical care due to a lack of health insurance. AmeriCares is committed to increasing access to medicines and over the last two years, has delivered over $36 million in medical assistance here at home.

AmeriCares also responds to disasters to help reduce suffering and restore health to communities throughout the country. AmeriCares has reached out to thousands of Americans affected by weather-related emergencies including Hurricane Katrina, tornadoes in the Midwest, California wildfires, flooding in the Northwest and the mile-wide tornado that destroyed almost all of Greensburg, Kansas.

AmeriCares offers a helping hand in times of disease outbreaks and manmade disasters. On one of our nation’s darkest days, AmeriCares sent an emergency medical team to the site of the World Trade Center attacks. And as the growing threat of swine flu looms, we are working with a network of health clinics across the US to help them prepare, contain the disease and treat infected patients.  Help AmeriCares deliver health and hope »

We delivered medicines to help families in communities affected by the Gulf Coast oil spill, Nashville floods and economic hardship throughout the heartland. AmeriCares routinely delivers medicines and medical supplies to more than 160 clinics across the country to help people suffering from heart disease, diabetes, asthma and other serious conditions.
