Kate Dischino

Americares Vice President of Emergency Programs

As vice president of emergency programs, Kate Dischino oversees Americares preparedness, response and recovery programs in the U.S. and around the world. Dischino is responsible for deploying emergency response teams, coordinating large scale deliveries of medicines and relief supplies and implementing recovery programs that restore health services for disaster survivors. Since joining Americares in 2012 she has been on the frontlines of dozens of emergencies including Hurricane Sandy (2012), the Oklahoma tornadoes (2013), Typhoon Haiyan (2013), the Nepal earthquake (2015), Hurricane Matthew (2016), Hurricane Harvey (2017) and Hurricane Irma (2017).
