Stamford, Conn. – May 18, 2021 – Biogen and the Biogen Foundation have committed more than $500,000 in personal protective equipment and financial support for Americares response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Bridgeport, Conn. – March 24, 2021 – Americares announced today it has been awarded $2.6 million from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to combat COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy at free and charitable clinics across the country. Stamford, Conn. – Oct. 8, 2020 – Americares is preparing to respond to Hurricane Delta as the storm grows in strength and size over the Gulf of Mexico and heads directly toward Louisiana communities still recovering from Hurricane Laura.

Stamford, Conn. – Sept. 17, 2020 – Americares has committed $2.5 million in aid for the wildfires raging throughout the western United States. Americares support will include critically needed medicine and relief supplies valued at $2 million plus at least $500,000 in financial support for families and health care centers in affected areas. The record blazes have scorched millions of acres of land, blanketed the region with hazardous smoke, displaced tens of thousands of people and led to more than 30 deaths.
