Boeing has been a dedicated partner in the Americares mission to bring health and hope to people in desperate circumstances since 2009. Its Humanitarian Delivery Flight program has supported our emergency aid shipments to Chile, Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines and Somalia. The program is a collaborative effort among Boeing, its airline customers, domestic nonprofits and international nongovernment organizations to deliver humanitarian aid to communities in need around the world.

Boeing is now an Americares Annual Emergency Response Partner. Our Annual Emergency Response Partners provide reliable financial support that is critical to maintaining the strong foundation from which we respond to disaster events. This support helps Americares conduct in-country assessments, pre-position emergency medical and relief aid in disaster-prone regions of the world, and maintain emergency pharmacy inventory at our headquarters, as well as regional warehouse and distribution hubs.  These capabilities, combined with Americares in-house expertise in global logistics, emergency medical needs and the restoration of local health services, are instrumental to our ability to respond swiftly and effectively to disasters.

With its innovative program to use available cargo space to deliver humanitarian aid to disaster sites, and its financial commitment to help Americares launch emergency responses without hesitation, Boeing demonstrates its commitment to corporate philanthropy that has significant impact.

“Boeing’s culture mirrors the heritage of aviation itself, built on a foundation of innovation, aspiration and imagination. We make use of these assets for commercial success as well as for helping make the world a better place for all,” said Liz Warman, director of Boeing Global Corporate Citizenship for the Northwest region. “We are pleased to partner with Americares and support their dedication to saving lives and restoring health whenever and wherever disaster strikes.”
