The 24th annual AmeriCares Airlift Benefit was a terrific success raising $1.4 million to support our programs.
The sold out event was attended by more than 700 guests. Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” emceed the event. Special guests included actor Aaron Eckhart and former New York Mets Manager and ESPN Analyst Bobby Valentine. The evening culminated with 75 guests boarding an airlift flight to the Dominican Republic to observe AmeriCares aid programs in action.
The annual AmeriCares Airlift Benefit is our signature fundraising event. It is also an important opportunity to recognize the corporate support that is so important to our mission to provide immediate response to emergency medical needs and support long-term medical assistance programs.
The event is held at an airport hangar at the Westchester County Airport that is transformed into a dramatic setting where we celebrate AmeriCares mission - and recognize donors that support and strengthen our global impact. The highlight of the evening, that includes cocktails, dining and dancing, is the departure of an AmeriCares airlift to a destination that provides a first-hand experience of AmeriCares humanitarian work in action.
Corporate sponsorship recognition includes a listing on the invitation and the program, and full-screen digital signage at the event. Benefits include a table for ten for representatives or guests of your corporation and, at certain gift levels, a seat on the airlift to an AmeriCares program site.
