For more than 20 years Baxter has teamed with AmeriCares to share its innovative products and treatments with people in need throughout the world. Since 1987, AmeriCares has delivered more than $183 million in Baxter products to 118 countries.

Baxter is a steadfast ally in times of international crisis, providing AmeriCares with both product donations and financial support for disasters like the earthquake in China and devastating cyclone in Myanmar last spring. When news of an emergency breaks, Baxter officials oftentimes call AmeriCares inquiring what donations are needed before an appeal has been made.

The Baxter International Foundation also provided a grant to help AmeriCares establish a new warehouse in India. The strategic location expands AmeriCares geographic reach and allows for faster delivery of essential medicines to Africa, Asia and the Middle East in times of crisis. Baxter officials recently attended the dedication ceremony for the new facility in Mumbai.

AmeriCares has honored Baxter with the Power of Partnership Award to recognize the company’s exceptional dedication to improving health care for disadvantaged populations.

“Baxter has shown a genuine commitment to AmeriCares and has supported our work since the mid-1980s,” said AmeriCares Corporate Relations Manager Emanuela Chiaranda. “Their encouragement of employees to take part in the company’s charitable efforts and education of staff on appropriate product donations has enabled us to send countless products to where they are most desperately needed.”
