Spotlight on: Our Work in the U.S.A.

In addition to responding to disasters including Hurricane Sandy and the Oklahoma tornadoes, AmeriCares works extensively in the United States. In fact, the greatest portion of our medical aid goes to help the uninsured poor here at home. In 2012, our medicines and supplies helped more than 2.1 million people get the healthcare that they needed. Nearly 3,000 patients rely on the three free AmeriCares clinics in Bridgeport, Danbury, and Norwalk, Connecticut. We provide millions of dollars in donated medicines and medical supplies to our network of more than 550 health care safety net partners serving the poor in 47 states.
