Stocking the AmeriCares mobile medical clinic before it set out to help Beacon Christian Community Health Center in Staten Island, N.Y. The mobile clinic enables the health center to continue treating patients despite a long-term power outage. The 40-foot bus is stocked with medicines and supplies and has two private exam rooms for patient consultations.

AmeriCares Family Emergency Kits are being distributed in South Norwalk, CT, through our partner, NEON (Norwalk Economic Opportunity Now). Our Family Emergency Kits help people stay clean and healthy. Area residents experienced flooding during Hurricane Sandy and are now dealing with the sewage residue left behind. Jamie Hilliard, a NEON worker, gets ready to hand out kits to people stopping in for help and hot lunch.
