Bringing health care to patients:
Our two mobile clinics in Mumbai, India helped more than 36,000 patients in 2012. Both vans circulate 7 days a week, returning to the same locations every 15 days.
Global Medical Aid:
We work with a global network of more than 3,000 hospitals, clinics and community health centers to deliver the highest quality medicines and medical aid to help people in need all over the world. We can provide what is needed to beat an epidemic, protect health after a hurricane, or save the life of a mother in need.
Disaster Preparedness:
Because preparedness is so crucial to an effective response, AmeriCares is planning -- and acting -- ahead of hurricanes, floods and storms. In 2012, we pre-positioned enough aid for 100,000 people in 13 countries and supported disaster training in five countries. In Haiti, our pre-positioned cholera supplies helped save thousands of lives.

Immunization saves lives:
Working with a partner in Haiti, we raised immunzation rates from 3 percent to 70 percent among women and children in one local community.
AmeriCares Free Clinics:
Nearly 3,000 patients rely on three AmeriCares free clinics in Connecticut -- in Danbury, Bridgeport and Norwalk. In 2012, the clinics expanded their hours of operation and together delivered more than $6 million in care.
Growing a future:
To counter isolation and its dangerous health effects, we are funding community gardening projects for disaster survivors in Japan. It's just one of many programs to help monitor and ease mental health woes among survivors.

Care for mothers and children:
To help nearly half a million mothers and young children, in 2012 we delivered $9 million worth of medicines to hospitals and clinics around the world -- in El Salvador, Afghanistan, Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, the U.S. and many more countries.
The AmeriCares Family Clinic in El Salvador:
Our clinic in El Salvador provided medical consultations for nearly 50,000 patients in 2012 -- including 8,750 first-time patients. The clinic has expanded, adding consultation rooms and services in dermatology, internal medicine, ophthalmolgy and pulmonology.
Emergency Response:
In 2012, our Emergency Response team sent crucial medicines and supplies to help survivors of 24 disasters in 18 countries. Pictured: Family Emergency Kits are pre-positioned at AmeriCares warehouse -- ready to ship to help families displaced by disaster.
Improving health here at home:
The greatest portion of AmeriCares aid goes to assist the uninsured in the United States. Last year, our medicines and supplies helped more than 2.1 million people get the health care they needed but could not afford. Our aid is sent to a network of hundreds of safety net clinics throughout the country.
