AmeriCares contributes over-the-counter medicines, hygiene products, bottled water and other aid to social service organizations — including the Family Resource Center in California, Furnish a Future in New York City, and Christian Appalachian Project in Kentucky — that serve poor and at-risk families.
In the last two years, AmeriCares has supplied more than 170 clinics across the country with $36 million worth of medicines and supplies.
AmeriCares donations to social service and community programs support a wide variety of projects, including health education and outreach, home repair and programs for individuals with disabilities.
