Our aid reaches a broad spectrum of health care institutions ranging from large national hospitals to small rural clinics. Our partnerships with volunteer medical teams enable us to effectively deliver aid to Bolivia’s highly impoverished populations, reaching tens of thousands of people in more than 250 municipalities as well as those in some of the most isolated areas of the country.

Our presence in Chile has revolved primarily around emergency response, particularly the 2010 earthquake and tsunami.  Our emergency shipments were followed by targeted assistance projects for rehabilitation and recovery of the health care system.

AmeriCares through its on-going partnership with the Colombian Order of Malta is consistently able to bring medicines and medical supplies to some of the country’s most remote and under-served communities, reaching more than 50 active sub-recipients.

Half the people of Ecuador live in poverty, particularly in rural communities isolated from the resources of larger towns and cities. Nearly a third of Ecuador's 13 million citizens lack access to health services and two-thirds lack the means to pay for services, creating a number of critical health issues:
