AmeriCares sent several shipments of critical aid to combat the growing cholera epidemic which has claimed more than 1,700 lives in Zimbabwe.

Our delivery of vital medicines and supplies will help save lives and reduce the spread of the deadly disease. The medicines will also be used by local hospitals and clinics to replenish medicines depleted during the health crisis.

AmeriCares Helps Fight Malaria in Myanmar

Malaria most frequently infects young children, who are often not strong enough to survive the disease.

Critical malaria medicines and anti-mosquito treatments donated by AmeriCares are helping to stop the spread of this deadly disease in Myanmar.

Heavy flooding caused by Cyclone Nargis created the perfect environment for malaria-carrying mosquitoes. What’s more, the cyclone destroyed thousands of homes, leaving families little protection from infectious swarms. Read more »
