Stamford, Conn. – Dec. 21, 2012 – Volunteers from Deloitte’s Stamford office assembled Family Emergency Kits for Hurricane Sandy victims at AmeriCares warehouse on Dec. 13. Twenty professionals participated in the effort, filling tote bags with soap, shampoo and other personal care items. AmeriCares plans to distribute the kits to families in Brooklyn and Queens, N.Y., displaced by the storm. The Stamford-based disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization has coordinated more than 100 aid deliveries for Sandy victims in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut since the Oct. 29 storm.
