On the day that rebels entered Tripoli, seeking to end Muammar el Qaddafi's 40-year rule in Libya,
AmeriCares confirmed the arrival in Benghazi of a fourth shipment
containing $5.6 million in medical aid to help displaced civilians struggling
to survive.
As the war moves closer to a resolution, the crisis
is far from over for 900,000 children and adults who have fled the violence, many
living in refugee camps with little or no access to basic health care. Hospital
resources are strained, and medical supplies are in dangerously low supply for
this vulnerable population. Help
us deliver lifesaving aid to the people of Libya and others in crisis around
the world. »
