Q & A with Dr. Frank J. Bia, M.D.Dr. Bia is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American College of Physicians, American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. He has published over 100 journal articles and book chapters in medical journals and publications, including the Journal of Infectious Diseases and the American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. Dr. Bia received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University and his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, as well as a Masters of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. His medical residency and chief residency were completed at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition, he honed his expertise in the areas of infectious diseases, tropical medicine and international health while working abroad in Haiti, China, Colombia, Nicaragua, Eritrea, Iran and Thailand. |
