The American Institute of Philanthropy awards AmeriCares an "A" rating based on how we spend donors' money.

Better Business Bureau

AmeriCares proudly meets the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance Standards for Charity Accountability. The BBB Wise Giving Alliance helps donors make informed giving decisions by evaluating charitable organizations. The groups it evaluates must meet high standards for accountability. Those standards set out to encourage fair and honest solicitation practices.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy
The Chronicle of Philanthropy ranks AmeriCares ninth in its 2007 edition of the “Philanthropy 400,” which rates charities based on the amount of support they raise from individuals, foundations and corporations. Forbes

Forbes  includes AmeriCares in its list of 200 largest charitable organizations in its 2007 Investment Guide.  Forbes ranks charities based on the amount of private gifts they receive.  AmeriCares was one of 17 nonprofits with 100-percent fundraising efficiency.

The NonProfit Times
AmeriCares is in 17th place in the 2007 "NPT Top 100" rankings.  The NPT annual ranking requires that at least 10-percent of income comes from public support.

FREDDIE 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award

On November 2, 2007 AmeriCares received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the FREDDIE Awards in Philadelphia.  The FREDDIE Award is the "Oscar" of health and medical productions.  The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor at this event which is celebrating its 33rd year.
