Air Miles
Continental, United and Northwest Airlines accept donations of frequent flier miles on behalf of AmeriCares. Frequent flier miles are an important asset to AmeriCares as we often deliver services to the needy by air.  When you donate your miles, you become a partner in our relief efforts. To find out how to donate unused miles, please call 1-800-486-HELP (4357) or email us. You can also get more information by contacting the airlines via phone or through their websites:

Global Impact
AmeriCares is a participating member of Global Impact, which is a coalition of the nations leading international relief and development organizations. Global Impact's mission is to help people overseas and in the U.S. who suffer from hunger, poverty and disease or from the ravages of war, oppression and natural disasters by raising awareness and funds in the workplace. Federal workers who give through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) or work in other private sectors that also contribute to CFC can select AmeriCares as the designated charity of choice. To donate to AmeriCares, please remember to select the AmeriCares code number 10735. For further information, please contact Global Impact at 703-548-2200 or toll-free at 1-800-638-8079.

Goodsearch
Why not give to charity while you search the web? Goodsearch is the easiest way to donate to AmeriCares because you put the power of the internet to work for us. Just use Goodsearch as your search engine—powered by Yahoo—and for each search, $0.01 is donated to the charity of your choice. Just type in "AmeriCares" in the text box reading "Enter Your Charity Here."  When you return to the page to search again, AmeriCares will be the default charity in the box, so you don't have to type it again. It doesn't cost you anything, and can silently help to change the lives of those in need at home and around the world. 

United Way
If you support the United Way, you can designate AmeriCares as one of your charities of choice. Simply list AmeriCares on the United Way Donor Designation Pledge form, and the funds you donate will be sent to AmeriCares.

School & Community Projects
There are a number of creative ways for schools, churches, civic groups and businesses to get involved with AmeriCares. Opportunities exist year round for projects that will help children and adults throughout the world. Some of the many projects include conducting drives for new toys, healthy kid kits, baby blankets and more. For more information on how your school or community group can get involved, please visit AmeriCares Kids or contact Tara Whalen at twhalen@americares.org or 1-800-486-HELP (4357).
