In Haitian Creole Bonjou ti Konme means “Hello Sister.” It’s also the name of an AmeriCares campaign to build connections between girls in the United States and girls in Haiti of the same age who need to know people still care about them.
Want to express your support for girls who are struggling to stay safe and rebuild their lives after the earthquake? Let them know they’re not alone? Want to help provide hope to kids like you who don’t have much in the way of schools or fun? Here’s how it works:
Just submit your name and email and write your note, and add a Creole message to the girls. Then, if you want, you can upload a photo as well. Then click “Hello Sister!”
The girls in Haiti don’t have mobile phones or laptops or computers, so our staff in Haiti will share your message of hope. Your supportive words and smiling face will be on the walls of “safe spaces,” reminding the girls they’re not alone and that you care every time they visit.
