How To UNselfie

#UNselfie

The unselfie, otherwise known as the selfless selfie, is a rally cry for replacing selfishness with selflessness. This #GivingTuesday, take an unselfie to share why you support #SaveHealthNow.

How to UNselfie:

  • Locate the unselfie template in our #GivingTuesday Social Media Kit zip file.
  • Print the templates. Use either the pre-filled template or add your own message in the blank with why you’re turning an ordinary Tuesday into a #GivingTuesday.
    • Example: I support Americares  because they help keep local clinics open and serving people in need.
  • Take a selfie with your statement printout and share on Twitter and Facebook.
  • Always use the hashtags #SaveHealthNow and #GivingTuesday when sharing on social media, and be sure to give a shout out to @Americares!

"Last August more than 4 feet of flood water wrecked everything in the Total Family Medical clinic, which serves 2,000 low-income patients in Robert, Louisiana. The clinic staff could not re-open the facility until Americares stepped in and provided resources for a modular clinic along with medicine and supplies to replace what was ruined in the flood. With your help, Americares remains committed to helping people in need. "

"Five years ago, the government was planning to close the John Logan Town clinic in remote Grand Bassa County, Liberia, but, with Americares support, the health center stayed open and now provides medicine, vaccines and safe childbirth for the community of 25,000 people. The clinic and community depend on Americares support to stay open. With your help, Americares remains committed to helping people in need. "
