This year, our airlift will take guests on an exciting 24-hour journey to El Salvador to see firsthand the struggles faced by people in the developing world each day. In El Salvador, AmeriCares works with local health clinics, orphanages and homes for the elderly to make certain they have the medicines and supplies they need. Travel with us to see our work there, or gather on the tarmac for an emotional send-off.

Eleven years of growth, change and challenge: We will honor Curt's steadfast leadership. Curt joined AmeriCares as President and CEO in 2002. Since that time, he has guided the organization in delivering more than $9 billion in medical aid and disaster relief around the world, enabling millions of people to live longer, healthier lives.
Curt came to AmeriCares after an extensive career in the investment banking and securities industry with firms such as Societe Generale, Bear Stearns and Credit Suisse First Boston. He currently serves on the boards of Coca-Cola Enterprises (NYSE: CCE) and is the Chairman of the Board of Visitors of The Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy at Dartmouth College.
He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a director emeritus of the Adirondack Council. He is the former board chair at Spence Chapin Services, and the Donaldson Adoption Institute. He received both his Master of Business Administration and undergraduate degrees from Dartmouth College and his law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.
Bob Woodruff joined ABC News in 1996 and has covered major stories throughout the country and around the world for the network. He was named co-anchor of "ABC World News Tonight" in December 2005. On January 29, 2006, while reporting on U.S. and Iraqi security forces, Woodruff was seriously injured by a roadside bomb that struck his vehicle near Taji, Iraq.
In February 2007, Woodruff and his wife, Lee, co-wrote a bestselling memoir, In an Instant, chronicling his injuries in Iraq and how their family persevered through a time of intense trauma and uncertainty. The Woodruff family established the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF) to raise money to assist injured service members, veterans and their families.
Previously Woodruff was anchor of the weekend edition of "World News Tonight" and one of ABC News' top correspondents. He was ABC's lead correspondent on the 2004 Asian tsunami, reporting from Banda Aceh, Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
Woodruff has a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a BA from Colgate University. He and Lee have four children.

Amanda Brown's classically trained voice is a favorite among many of today's top recording artists. Providing backup vocals for such noteworthy and award-winning artists as Justin Timberlake, Lenny Kravitz, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Hudson, Amanda is making her presence known in the music industry. Most recently, she completed the highly successful and critically acclaimed world tour with Alicia Keys as her backup singer.
Not only is Amanda a force in America, but she has performed around to packed houses all over the world including the U.K., Japan, Belgium, Spain, and Australia, just to name a few. She also regularly appears stateside in such venues as the Apollo Theater, Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, the Hammerstein Ball and more.
Perhaps one of her most notable performances was as a featured soloist at the internationally televised September 11th Memorial lighting of the eternal flame in Battery Park in 2002. She has also appeared on the Grammys, the Tonight Show, the Late Show with David Letterman, Superbowl XLII, the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, and Regis & Kelly.
Between going on tour with today's top artists and her numerous television appearances, Amanda is currently working on her debut album, a lovely blend of catchy pop, rock, folk, and soulful R&B sounds.
During his 11-year tenure, AmeriCares President and CEO Curt Welling has overseen distribution of $9 billion in humanitarian aid worldwide
