Manager, Middle East Partnerships

Summary:
We are seeking a Partnership Manager to develop, cultivate and oversee relationships with healthcare partners, in the Middle East region, who are or could be, recipients of medicines, medical supplies and other humanitarian aid donated to AmeriCares.This is a full-time position based at AmeriCares headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut that requires significant (30-40%) international travel.
Responsibilities:
The Partnership Manager has the responsibility for maintaining and developing relationships with international partner organizations that receive donations of medicines and medical supplies from AmeriCares. The Partnership Manager ensures that our standards are being met by conducting regular program monitoring and evaluation. This entails regular communication with program partners and familiarity with local health and social programs, specific needs of partners, logistical procedures, culture and resources. The Partnership Manager is responsible for ensuring that program teams are meeting the needs of our international partners in the most efficient, effective, and appropriate way. The Partnership Manager also identifies opportunities for incremental programs that address unmet healthcare needs in the countries for which they are responsible.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in International Studies or related major required (Master’s degree in public health or international relations a plus) with three to five years relevant work experience with a demonstrable track record of success and impact. Arabic language and working knowledge of the Middle East preferred.
Must be highly motivated and well organized to manage a significant portfolio of program relationships. Ability to work independently or as part of a team and international experience with program support or partnership management desired.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must. Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
