These ratings reflect the fact that more than 98% of our total expenses directly support programs and relief for people in need, and less than 2% represent administrative costs. In addition, we meet or exceed the standards of charity accountability set by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance.
In fiscal year 2007, every $100 donated enabled AmeriCares to deliver more than $3,600 in humanitarian aid. That includes everything from medicines like antibiotics and analgesics to medical supplies like bandages, syringes and nutritional supplements.
