AmeriCares Emergency Relief: Tropical Storm Agatha

Tropical Storm Agatha has caused disastrous flooding and mudslides in Guatemala and El Salvador. Over 140 lives were lost and over 100,000 people were left homeless. In response, AmeriCares delivered over $1.5 million worth of critical medical aid to help men, women and children affected by the disaster.

AmeriCares is able to maximize the impact of your donation thanks to the in-kind contributions we receive from pharmaceutical and medical supply manufacturers and our partnerships with local health care providers around the world. Historically, for every $100 donated, AmeriCares is able to deliver more than $3,500 in humanitarian relief to people in need, including medicines, medical supplies, nutritional supplements and other vital aid.
